Welcome back, dear readers! I know I said I was working on a Thornn update, but I have to try and fight off this huge backlog, and voila! You get a spare update!
When we last saw Athena May, first child of Charity and Othello via adoption, she and her former dormice husband, Cornelius, were living the high life: Athena was a bestselling author and a high powered director, Cornelius was well on his way to being The Law, and everything was perfect in their house with the birth of their daughter, Minerva Belle. But will their happiness continue as MB grows? Or will their money minded ways keep them from true happiness?

Athena and Cornelius were both extremely busy with their respective careers, but they always found time for their little girl: Minerva Belle was their pride and joy, and she knew it. When her birthday rolled around, she got a huge party, but only Uncle Donovan made it into the bedroom to watch her grow up.

But MB was extremely inquisitive, and wanted to know everything. One morning, she asked her parents why Mommy always screamed before going to bed.
Needless to say, they lied.

And, she had inherited more than her father’s dashing looks: she had gotten his love of sports as well. Not only was she intelligent and inquiring, she was extremely proficient at sports of all kinds. She loved to play Basketball with her father at night before bedtime.

And of course, she did her homework every night under the watchful eye of her father.

Not that Athena was too busy for her daughter: She had made it to the top of her career, and was now being called an Icon by magazines- she now worked better hours, and would be able to devote that time to her daughter.

She wasn’t the only one being promoted: when Winter rolled around, Cornelius had been promoted to the top of his career as well, and was now The Law- he made laws for Kodak, and tried numerous high profile cases as well as working one on one with the Attorney General of the state.

Athena had been contacted to do a Tell All about her climb to the top: growing up in an orphanage and then being adopted by the wealthiest family in Kodak, her struggles in College, and her ascent to Icon status. It sold incredibly well, and The May family was once again rolling in cash.

But it didn’t mean that they weren’t a family- Cornelius loved to read Athena’s novels once MB was asleep, and gave Athena feedback when she was working on her novels. They were a rich, and happy family.

In a way, they were not unlike another branch of the Cranes- Xavier’s business was doing wonderfully, but what was bothering Daisy was that he hadn’t chosen an heir. Not to mention the fact that he still owed about 20,00 Simoleans to the Bank of Motherlode, Kodak Branch. She enjoyed pondering what she would do with the business if she were heir, and as usual, came up blank.

Her brother, Dwight, obviously didn’t have such concerns: he and his girlfriend, Kali Peeter, had gotten serious. They could be seen hanging out every night outside the house after school.

It was apparently getting very serious, seeing as how they were now exclusive.

As the days went on, and Dwight and Daisy began preparing for college, Xavier began spending more time outside, fishing. It was his quiet time, and he had a very tough decision to make.

“I hope you’re going to study economics, Dwight. You’re my heir, and it’s up to you to take this business above and beyond what I’ve done.”

“Do you mean it, dad? Am I it? What about Daisy?”
“Your mother will talk to her. But, Dwight, I’m serious. If you don’t want-”
“Of course I want it! But…”

Xavier pulled Dwight into a tight hug.
“Don’t worry about it, son. I love you, and I want you to know that whatever you choose to do with your life, even if it isn’t the businesses, I’m proud of you.”
In Xavier’s bedroom, Atlanta was talking to her daughter before she was to head off to college.

“And, beware of the streakers! They might let you see it all before you know what, but that doesn’t mean they’ll make good husbands!”

“Husbands? Does that mean I’m heir?”
“Well… no, honey. Your father and I decided that Dwight would be better equipped to handle the businesses, and…”
“Why? Because he’s a guy? A Family Sim? And he has a girlfriend?”

“Daisy, you’ll be able to do anything you’d like! Running two thriving businesses is hard work, and sometimes you just need to-”
“Don’t worry mom- you’re right. I’m going to have fun! Dwight can handle all the responsible type stuff, I’m-”

Daisy was cut off by a fierce hug from her mother.
“Be good, Daisy. I know you always mean well, but you van go about it thee wrong way.”
“ Love you too Mom.”
As soon as Daisy stepped out, Xavier was there to comfort her.

“Are you ok Daisy?”
“I’m fine, dad. Don’t worry about me.”

Xavier pulled Daisy into a tight hug.
“I love you, Daisy.”
“I love you too Dad. Now let go, I’ll miss the cab!”

Before long, the two Crane kids were climbing into the cab that would take them to their futures.

“You know…”
Atlanta giggled as her husband began to plant kisses on her neck.
“We have the house to ourselves now…”
“Xavier Crane, you are insatiable!”

And rich! With the kids gone, Atlanta and Xavier were devoting all of their time to the businesses, which soon meant that they had accomplished their goals of Earning $100,000 Simoleans.

But, at the end of the day, they were still as in love as they were when they first married.

But would their love survive a Three Bolt Relative? Stay tuned to find out!

As you can see, I'm trying something new: combining separate posts, and having Spare Stories featuring two families! I'll try to keep them relevant, I promise. This one is called Full Circles because MB is just growing up,m while Dwight and Daisy are heading off to UNI- corny, I know, but it made sense to me three months ago when I played it. I REALLY need to catch up!
The Sim in the last picture is Darissa Ives, a cousin of the Main House Cranes. She and Xavier are First Cousins Once Removed, and are Three Bolters. (!!!) If I had known that a long time ago, I would've hooked them up, but now, I wouldn't- I like their kids too much, and I married them to interesting spouses. (You can just peek at the Family Tree so I don't sound crazy.)
Here's a close up of MB:

She really is a little clone of her father, she doesn't look a thing like Athena. I don't think she got ANY of her features.
And, I have to do another Spare update before I post the next Crane update, and I really don't know when the Thornns will be updated. D: I'll try to do it in a couple of weeks, but the Cranes are the main priority right now- sorry to any Thorrnn fans out there, but I just cannot do it all!
As usual, thanks for reading!
