Welcome back to The Crane Family Spare Stories, where you get to know what’s going on with the other members of the Crane Family.
I do have these in order, but I neglected to put them in an actual order with the Main Branch until Athena’s graduation, which is why you get a double update! Aren’t I nice?
In this update we once again catch up with the second branch of Cranes, Fred’s son, Xavier, his wife, Atlanta, and their two teenage children- Dwight, a responsible, shy Family Sim, and Daisy, an outgoing and super friendly Popularity Sim. Last we left them, Xavier and Atlanta had been going through rough patch, seeing as how they were completely obsessed with money- they didn’t have time to pay any attention to their children. Once Dwight became a teenager he spoke to his father, who in turn spoke to Atlanta, and she spent time with Daisy. Daisy then became a teenager, and chose the life of Popularity. We now continue with their story…

“Are you ever going to stop cuddling him, Daisy?”
“Never. I’m going to cuddle and kiss my little kitty until I turn blue!”
At this, both kids laughed. “Let’s at least take him inside, or you might turn blue from the cold.”
Daisy and Dwight had both wanted to adopt a kitten, and they had received Oedipus, an adorable little black kitten.
Since they had become teenagers, many things had changed at the Crane house. Dwight and Daisy were shocked to discover that their parents were actually spending time together!

“Look Mom, Dad!”
Xavier and Atlanta surfaced long enough to see their daughter dancing around with her A+ report card.
“That’s nice dear. Do you mind going to your bedroom for.. An hour or two?”
Daisy practically ran to her room.

That didn’t mean they didn’t still care for the business- Xavier could be found slaving away at the Cash Register until the wee hours of the morning.

The smile of a satisfied customer was worth it.

Some customers had no intention of buying though. Sugar Darling was notorious for her refusal to buy anything in Bluewater, so when she came to Kodak, Xavier took it upon himself to convince her to buy electronics and/or statues.

“You KNOW you NEED this DJ booth! Just imagine! You’ll be able to DJ all sorts of parties and you’ll be the talk of the town! You’ll be like Sim Ronson!”
Sugar simply couldn’t control herself, she ended up buying the DJ Booth and some statues to go with it.

Xavier also did business with his family members. Prometheus Ives was the husband of his cousin Darissa, and he often gave him discounts on the items he bought.

This had nothing to do with the fact that he felt guilty about the Sexual Tension between him and Darissa, who couldn’t help but be extremely friendly whenever she was around him.

But at the end of the day, it was still Atlanta he loved, and shared his life with.
“Honey, I’ve been thinking.”
“Oh?”

“Look, now that the business is level 10, I was thinking, we should open another one. A real one. That everyone can go to! I already looked at some property in Bluewater, and…”
“Yes! This is the perfect opportunity to expand our business, and get ourselves known. Let’s go tomorrow, with the kids.”

Xavier was ecstatic. The property hadn’t been to expensive, but he had spent a small fortune on the decorations. He had had to borrow some money from the Bank of Motherlode, but if the Business did well, he would be able to pay it off within a week.
“Daisy, hurry up and get dressed! We’re leaving!”
Daisy looked back at the her family, and cuddled little Oedipus once more. “Don’t worry Eddie, I’ll be back soon.”

Once they arrived, Atlanta looked at it expectantly.
“Welcome, to Space Age Electronics! Where the items you buy are Out Of This World!”

The store was very nice. It had all sorts of items- pinball machines, Televisions, DJ Booths, and high end radios.

Once there, they got right to work.
“Charity, listen to me. You HAVE to buy this television IT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE.”
Charity ended up buying three televisions at Atlanta’s request.

Not all customers were as shop happy as Charity Crane. Sunshine Darling was bored with all of the items displayed before her. “Don’t you have anything more… exciting?”

Atlanta descended upon her. “We have numerous DJ Booths, and…” Seeing Sunshine’s bored expression, Atlanta decided to give up on this particular sale.

Daisy, on the other hand was a selling machine. Even though she could only use Basic Sell, she was selling televisions left and right!

“Are you sure I can get ALL the channels on this…?”
“Yes Ma’am! Don’t you worry, this baby comes reproved, prepackaged and all glitzed out JUST FOR YOU!”
Daisy was a natural born Salesgirl.

On his breaks, Dwight would invite over his girlfriend, Papergirl Kali Pederson.
“I know it’s such a hassle to come all the way up to this part of the island… But I really wanted to see you…”
“Don’t be so apologetic, Dwight. You know I’d go anywhere for you!”

Unfortunately, disaster struck while Dwight was on his break. He had accidentally left the Kitchen Door unlocked, and a silly townie had gotten in and set fire to the kitchen. They then proceeded to stand in front of the door and not allow anyone else in.

“I can’t get to the fire!”
Atlanta and Xavier watched, horrified, as all of their hard work went down the drain- their business was downgraded to Level 0 instantly, thanks to all the stupid townies.

Eventually, the fire burnt itself out, and Freya was STILL on fire.
“HELP ME! HELP!”
After she was put out, the Cranes, defeated, went home.

“It was all my fault. I should have…”
Kali silenced him with a kiss. “I told you not to be so apologetic. Nobody told that stupid lady npot to have any Cooking Points.”
Dwight melted into the kiss.
“That’s why I love you, you make me feel so strong Kali. I wish I was as strong as you.”
“I love you too Dwight. I’ll see you tomorrow.”

The next day, at dinner, Daisy and Dwight were talking about what had been come to called The Disaster.
“Yea, Dad took out like, a whole bunch of money from the Bank Of Motherlode, and he only has a week to pay it back.”
“But this business is successful…?”
“Yea Dwight, but it would take like two weeks to make 50 G’s that quick. I have no idea what Dad’s gonna do to pay them back.”
Dwight looked down worriedly. “Oh boy.” He hoped that his father would be able to deal with the money issues quick.
“Oh boy indeed.” Daisy may have been Popularity, but she knew exactly how both businesses worked. While Dwight was kissing his girlfriend, Daisy was making herself look good- she had to be prepared when Xavier announced his heir.

Hey Josh! I'm finally back and am slowly getting caught up with your blog. Sheesh, you've been busy. ;)
I can't believe the fireman couldn't reach the fire! Anytime I've had the way blocked, he's teleported or whatever over and started putting it out. Very freaky. Never had it happen on a community lot, though.
Hehehe the "bank of motherlode"... I'm sure their loan sharks aren't nearly as friendly as others.
Hey Mao! Hope you had a great vacation!
Yeah, I had to try and finish catching up. :P
No, the stupid townies were all crowding the room and the firewoman could not get to it until some of them left. It was incredibly annoying.
Hehe, I know right? I'm sure Xavier will find a way to get himself out of this mess. ;)
A level 10 biz! That's some game play mastery :) The fire was hysterical, I'm sorry, but I can just imagine the frustration of it all.
Freya on fire then Atlanta getting hit by lightening...what bad luck
btw, I love the Spares updates :D
Thanks! It was pretty easy once they could Dazzle, and they started with the ability, to it wasn't too hard. :D
I know, GOSH I was so pissed.
Thanks! I was wondering how the readers would react to them, but I'm glad you like them. :D
