The Crane Legacy: Chapter 4.8- The Time of our Lives

Welcome back dear readers! I hope everyone had a good weekend, and had fun on their vacations, those of you who did have vacations. ;)

Last we left off, some of the Crane siblings were moving onward from SSU, after many long months of work. Arthur got engaged to his boyfriend, Giorgio, and came out to his mother, who didn’t have a problem with his homosexuality, Cornelius and Athena finally had that talk, and got engaged at their graduation party. Meanwhile, Dorian an Donovan met their future spouses, Dorian met Prof. Perdita, an outgoing and friendly woman, while Donovan spoke to Prof. Chandra, a quiet and shy young professor who had captured his heart. We now go back to The Main House, where Charity and Othello continue to await their children to graduate.



“Douglas? What are you doing here, is something wrong?”

“No Dad, nothing’s wrong. I just wanted to visit you guys. I haven’t been around lately.”

Othello and Charity rarely saw their children, considering they were all at Sim State. Othello was ecstatic that Douglas and Donato had chosen to visit.




“So yeah Mom, you should have seen me! I was like, ALL over the place. It was a pretty awesome party.”

Charity looked at her son incredulously, he was obviously used to the Sim State Weather. “That’s nice honey, but don’t you want to put on a shirt? Or two?”



After the kids had left, The were haunting by some of the older family members. Atlas, Generation Two Spouse was furious with the new house, especially since his bed somehow did not get transferred over.



Also haunting was family Founder Valeria Crane, who was also furious about her bed missing.

“I don’t get it. I built a perfectly good house, and they go and move! GRRR.”

Valeria never had anger issues in during her life, I’m happy to report.



While the ghosts were complaining about their losses, Cressida was happily tending to her plants- all she seemed to be doing these days.

“And you see, if you follow my instructions, you will grow up to be Healthy and Mouthwatering!”



Charity, on the other hand was unhappily getting scared by the ghost of her father.

“YOU DID IT AS WELL!”

“I don’t get it father! What are you talking about?”

“YOU ALLOWED THEM TO CONTROL YOU!”

With that, Atlas disappeared and left a very confused Charity.



Over at SSU, Arnaud had just finished pledging his younger brother.

“Wow, this is going to be exciting. Being in a Greek House- the family Greek House, wow.”

Arnaud just looked at his brother. “Dude, it’s really not that exciting. You’re making it way bigger than it is. The only real privilege we get is that of unlimited pizza, and even then, you get sick of it.”

Douglas just smiled at his brother and kept walking.



Outside, Donovan was chatting with his almost girlfriend, Prof. Chandra. They had been seeing one another recently, going downtown for dates, yet they still refused to accept that they liked one another, thereby making things difficult.

Dorian just crossed his arms and chuckled as he watched his twin talk to her enthusiastically.



After a while, Donovan asked Chandra to come downstairs with him.

“Well, Chandra, there’s something I want- No, I’ve got to tell you. I like you- a lot. I.. I’m imagining my future with you, Chandra. I want us to be together.”

“Donovan, that’s sweet… I like you too.”



The two pulled together into a sweet kiss, Donovan’s first.



After awhile, the two were locked in a passionate embrace.



After their date, Chandra dropped off a Dancing Orb at the Greek House.

“I feel guilty enough, I might as well leave him a gift…”

Even though Chandra was a newer professor, she knew the rules, once she got involved with a student, she was out. So, she decided to leave a gift for Donovan. Maybe he wouldn’t drop her like some of the other Sims had- legacy families were notorious for leaving Professors jobless once they left the campus.



In the upstairs of Annya-Oresha-Var, Arnaud’s portrait was completed, and placed alongside those of his brothers, Dorian and Donovan.



All in all, the portrait hall was coming along nicely- Arthur, Athena, Cornelius, Dorian Donovan, and Arthur all had their portraits placed alongside the Second Floor hallway for the next generation to remember all of the Sims that came before them.



Back at the house, Charity had decided that her old look was too old fashioned, and gotten herself a makeover. She was pretty happy about it.



Once Othello saw her, he was startled, but rolled with it. “Do you like it?”

“Like it? I love it!” Charity jumped into her husband’s arms. “I’m glad. If you didn’t like it you would have been sleeping outside.”



Outside, Athena was getting ready to move on. She had invited over one of her former professors, Prof. Orestes Muddlefoot was arriving- he was a former professor at SSU, and Athena was taking it upon herself to make sure he had some skills before joining the real world.



“Thanks so much for this Athena. I you don’t know how much it means to me.”

“Don’t worry about it Prof. Just get your skills and get out of here.” At this, they both laughed.

“See you around.”



Prof. Orestes Muddlefoot was a shy man, who was down on his luck- thankfully he had former students like Athena helping him out.



He did not, however, expect that Cressida would be so harsh with his skilling schedule.

“How do you expect to be gainfully employed by the Winter if you do not skill build on a regular basis?”

“Uh…”



She literally worked him around the clock- from when he woke up to when he went to sleep. Being a Knowledge Sim, Orestes thrived on being worked so hard.

Until, the big day came- The day of the wedding.



Before the wedding, Athena and Cornelius were ignoring tradition and making out passionately.

“You’re not on your honeymoon yet, guys! Save it for the wedding!”

Athena and Cornelius separated with a laugh.



After graduating from SSU, Cornelius had bought a nice Starter House, and waited until Athena arrived. Once she did, they had set up for the wedding.



“Yeah Mom, You’re totally rocking the hair! You look great.”

Charity just smiled at her son.



In the kitchen, Arnaud was sitting awkwardly with Cassiopeia Aberdeen- everyone knew it was her under there, yet she insisted on wearing the Llama Costume everywhere she went.



Once the wedding started, Athena was deliriously happy.

“I can’t believe this is finally happening!”

Cornelius just held the ring up- “Honey, we’re starting.”



“Athena, I’ve loved you from the very first moment I saw you. I love you, and I want to be with you forever. You are my light, my love.”



“Cornelius, I love you so much… Even when you tried, and failed, to rebuff me, I knew you loved me- you just didn’t know it yet. I’m happy to be your wife.”



And with a kiss, Athena Crane had become Athena May.



She was ridiculously happy- she had the man of her dreams, and he loved her- that’s all that mattered.



Both Athena and Cornelius laughed as she shoved a giant piece of cake into his mouth,



“Honey, it’s suppose to be gentle!”

“It’s my wedding, and I’ll shove cake forcefully into your mouth if I want to.”



Once it was time to eat, most of the guests sat down for some cake- Dorian, Prof. Perdita, Othello, Donovan, Athena, Cressida and Cornelius all sat down to eat their cake.



Charity was too busy to pay much attention to anything else.

“Mom, don’t you want some cake?”

“No! I’m about to beat my high score, eat it yourself!”



Once they finished their cake, Dorian and Perdita found themselves embroiled in one another.

“Weddings are so exciting don’t you think?”

“Mmhmm!” Dorian would’ve agreed with anything she said at this point.



As the party ended, Athena had to run to catch up to the limo that would take her away on her honeymoon.

“Cornelius May, don’t you dare leave without me!”

Cornelius quickly made the driver stop.



When they returned, Cornelius smiled.

“So, now what?”

Athena just smiled. “I think we should be Trying For Baby right this moment…”

As the two drifted off to sleep, they could have sworn they heard a lullaby…

I really like this couple, so their wedding was fun. Perdita and Dorian are so amorous when they're visitors, on Free Will, etc. Now I know why people obsess over 3 Bolt Couples, they are srs with it.



Prof. Chandra and Donovan have Two Bolts, but are equally cute. She has The Ben Long Face Template, which is adorable on females. Plus, I love her hair, I'm so glad I binned it. :)



The only reason Athena moved into The Chatham was to Earn $100,000, WHICH SHE DID WITHOUT ME NOTICING. See all her memories, after she got it? I seriously did not know she got it. *twitch*

Also, since I forgot about it last post-



Cornelius got his LTW and Earned $100,000. Yeeey! A Point for me.
