The Crane Legacy: Chapter 4.7- Party People

Welcome back dear readers! I apologize for the lack of update last week, but I had to go to my College Orientation, and I was tired for the rest of the week. :P

Last we left off, The Cranes moved out of their Generations Old Estate to another, new house. Othello was worried, but he and Charity ended up making themselves at home rather quickly. At SSU, Arnaud’s business was doing rather well, with him seducing many a co-ed, and even some strange Sims, like Sugar and Pookie Darling. He did get something to think about when his best friend, Freya asked him to think about the consequences of his constant cheating. He promised he would. Meanwhile, Cornelius had become worried that he would die (as that’s what tends to happen to Sims), so he avoided Athena. Athena had a talk with her brother, Dorian, who quickly had a talk with Cornelius. Cornelius promised to talk to Athena, and that’s where we left off.

In Glitchy news, this will be the last time you see the original Sims of AOV- one of them (I never found out who) became corrupted, and kept crashing the lot. I tried EVERYTHING, I removed my CC, moved them out, teleported them to another lot, everything- I ended up killing them and creating them again- Arthur, Athena, Arnaud, Dorian, Donovan and Cornelius. And I lost the original Greek house that Valeria founded, I had to create a new one. : ( Yeah, they ended up moving and losing the Greek House in the same week, life sucked for The Cranes back in February. *ahem* Anyway, it’s time to start the update!



“Prof. Chandra, you made it!”

The quiet professor smiled at Donovan. “Well, you invited me, I couldn’t very well not come, could I?”

Prof. Chandra was Dorian’s Biology Professor, Donovan had met her at another party, and quickly befriended her. He was smitten, but he didn’t want anyone to know.

Doris just stared at the two of them hugging. “Yea Donovan, nobody knows you have a crush”, she then rolled her eyes and went in search of the keg.

Annya-Oresha-Var was throwing an End of Year Party, and most everyone was invited- most of the Crane siblings were there. Many professors, mascots, and cheerleaders had been invited as well.

Dorian had been cautious not to invite his former girlfriend, Prof. Cybele. He had heard the rumors that she had been involved in a fight with a werewolf, and was now a creature of the night. Though he wanted to be a werewolf himself, he couldn’t really handle that kind of pressure, especially now that he was no longer heir.



So that’s why, when he saw the lovely Professor Perdita, he couldn’t help but go after her.



“So, do you like watching Crime Dramas? I LOVE them, they are so exciting. I especially love Law and More Law! It’s really great!” Dorian had never really *had* to talk to a girl- he had met Prof. Cybele through the gypsy, he didn’t have to do much talking- but he couldn’t deny the chemistry he felt for Prof. Perdita. Not to mention the fact that they had met before, thanks to his mother’s subtle manipulation.



“Well, to be honest, I don’t really like Crime Dramas at all. Why watch Television when there are so many other things you can do?”



Dorian was officially smitten. After changing into his makeshift toga, he returned. “You know, you look really lovely. I didn’t notice how beautiful you were earlier.” (Maybe because he hadn’t paid a visit to the keg yet?)



Before long, Dorian and Perdita were involved in a deep kiss.



Doris noticed this, and quickly told her twin- “He sure moves on fast, don’t you think?”

“Hey, let’s play Kicky Bag!” Perdita was a social creature, even though she, like Dorian, was a Knowledge Sim, she was a Leo- meaning she had 10 Outgoing points, and not much else going for her.

“Uh, sure.”



After the game, Dorian quickly moved behind Perdita, “Here, “ he said, as he massaged her, “You must be tense…”



The rest of the party was spent with Dorian quickly getting to know Perdita.



The Resident Streaker, Eurydice Merryweather, couldn’t help but swoon- “He’s so romantic!”

The party ended up being a roof raiser, and even uptight Professors ended up having fun.

The next day, Cornelius was making good on his promise to talk to Athena.

“Hey, can we talk?”

“Sure.”



They quickly sat down on the couch.

“What’s up? This is a sudden change from the serious avoidance you has going on before.”

“Listen, Athena, I’m sorry.”



Athena just looked at him while he smiled earnestly.

“What?”

“I’m sorry. I… I was afraid of growing old, and dying, but then I thought about it, and Dorian talked to me… I realized you’re the only person that I’d want to grow old with.”

“It’s alright. It’s okay, Cornelius. I scared you…”

“Come here.”





“I love you, Athena. I’m sorry I hurt you like that, I promise, I’ll never do it again.”

“I love you too Cornelius. I thought you didn’t want me… I love you.”



They decided to spend the rest of the day together, just enjoying one another’s company.

It was rather cute. Even if they don’t have the best faces in the game, I love them to pieces together. Yay Athena and Cornelius!



But, all good things must come to an end- Finals were coming up. All of the Crane boys huddled in the living room to get some last minute assignments in.

“Why did we throw a party if none of us were prepared for the Final?”

“Good question Arthur! "

Speaking of Arthur, he had been concealing something quite big from his family- the previous night he had gotten engaged- to a man.



“I’m so glad you could meet me here.”

“No problem, Arthur, I’d meet you anywhere. What’s up?”

“Let’s sit down first.”



Once they had gotten a table, Arthur began to tell his boyfriend, Giorgio, all about his troubles.

“It’s just… I feel like my family doesn’t know me. You know? Like, my parents adopted me, and they got a defective kid- I’m worried about what they will think when they find out about us.”

“You shouldn’t. You were born this way, and if they can’t handle it, then it’s there problem.”



Arthur touched Giorgio’s cheek.

“That’s why I love you, G. You make me so happy. “ Arthur couldn’t help but smile. He and Giorgio had met at a Community Lot, and had been dating ever since. His quietness and sneaking around didn’t even register on his siblings radars, and he had been very good at keeping his homosexuality a secret. The only person that suspected something was up with him was his mother, and he hardly saw her anymore.



They kissed gently. “I love you too Arthur. I just wish you could end this cloak and dagger stuff so we can move on.”

“Don’t worry G. I’m graduating tomorrow, and we’ll be bale to move down here and live happily forever.”

“That’s what I like to hear.”



The two men sat down at another table, and reached across it to hold one another’s hands.

“So, is there any reason you wanted to meet at Bernard’s?” Bernard’s Botanical Dining was the second most romantic, if not exotic, restaurant in Downtown Kodak.

“Well…”



Arthur stayed silent as he slid a velvet box across the table to his partner.

“Oh Wright… Arthur, is that what I think it is?”

Arthur just smiled giddily. This was the happiest he had ever been in his entire life, and he hoped it would last forever.



“Really Arthur? Do you really want to get married?”

“I love you G. Say yes.”



“Yes. I love you, I’ll marry you!”



“Let’s make a toast! To everlasting happiness!”

The two men were extremely happy, at that moment, nothing could stand in the way of heir happiness- except for a closet.



“So, Arthur, when are you going to come out? You know it’s pretty hard to hide an engagement.”

“Don’t worry. I’m going to tell my mom at my graduation party tomorrow.”



Giorgio grabbed Arthur, and swept him into a kiss.

“I can’t wait to spend my life with you.”

“I love you, G.”



Over at the new Greek House, The Cow Mascot was standing in front of the door.

“So this is where the new AOV is located, eh? Time to make my presence known!” The Cow Mascot had found that the Cranes moved from their former house after they found out they had bugs.



Unfortunately, she didn’t plan on The Cranes having a Sentrybot to keep people like her out of the new house.



The next day, at Arthur, Athena and Cornelius’s Graduation party, Charity, Perdita and some of the siblings were hanging out, having a good time, while The Graduates were especially nervous.



Arthur found his sister and pulled her into a hug.

“I’m proud of you sis, we did it!”

“Yea, me too. Are you going home at all, or..?”

“No. Speaking of, I need to go talk to Mom.”



Meanwhile, Cornelius had found Dorian and was thanking him profusely.

“If it hadn’t been for your wise words, Athena and I would have never gotten together. I really wanted to thank you.”

“No problem man. Just treat her right.”



Next to them, Donovan and Arnaud were hugging.

“Hey, why are we hugging? You have another year to go!”

Arnaud smiled. “I know, but I saw everyone else hugging, I thought I needed one as well.”

Donovan laughed. “Dude, you need help.”



After they pulled away, Athena went to see her mother.

“I love you Mom. Thank you for adopting me, and being here.”

“I love you too Athena.”

Behind them, Arthur was visibly nervous. “Oh Wright.. What if she disowns me.. Oh, …”



Arthur could be rather dramatic at times.

He finally got up the courage to speak to her.

“Hey, Arthur. Congratulations!”

“Thanks Mom. Listen, we need to talk. I’m Gay.”

The words just rushed out, and he found himself waiting expectantly for her reaction.

“That’s it? That’s the big news? Arthur, you need new material.”

Arthur was just shocked.

“Of course I knew, I’m your mother! I knew since you became a teen and got all skittish around d me whenever I asked you about dating. Sheesh, kids these days! I will always love you Arthur. You are my Son, and nothing you do or say will ever change that.”

“Thanks Mom.”



While Arthur and his mother were having their talk, Cornelius and Athena were using their lips, but not for talking.



After they finished kissing, Athena practically screamed as Cornelius got down on one knee.

“Athena, I have loved you from the moment I first laid eyes on you. You knew me as some socially awkward Placeholder, and I love you for making me better. Athena, Will you make me the happiest Sim on Earth and say you’ll marry me.”







Athena glanced at the ring approvingly.



“Yes! Yes, I will marry you!” Athena jumped into his arms, squeeing loudly.

“Get inside you two! Don’t you see your man is burning up?”

Athena and Cornelius laughed, and went inside.



“I’m so happy! I can’t wait to get married!”

Cornelius just smiled. He couldn’t believe that he had almost given up this wonderful woman.



As soon as the party ended (Another Roof Raiser), Athena transitioned into the requisite horrible outfit and was out the door. “I’ll see you guys there!”



Arthur quickly followed her. “Ugh, Tracksuit!”



Then was Cornelius. “Later dude! See you at the wedding!”



After arriving from the College (SSU is at the very northern tip of Kodak, also why it's always either Summer or Spring there, while the actual island only gets Spring, Fall and Winter), Athena changed her clothes and began her job search. "I can't wait to get married... Although making $100,000 sounds really good right about now as well..."

Arthur was autonomously gay, when I took them to a community lot, he heart farted for Giorgio D'Alonzo instantly , a custom townie that I made ages ago. I was glad I had a way to wrap up Arthur's storyline, I never really liked him.

The new Greek House is also by Bitsy, it's Elizabeth's Cottage. I really like it.

That's pretty much it for my notes on this chapter, besides the fact that these are no longer the original Sims (This is the real reason Dorian was not made heir, I couldn't have Clone!Dorian take over the family, with his nonexistent memories and borked family tree) everything was pretty much alright.
