A quick recap:

The Cabin In The Woods was purchased by Fern Godolphin as an escape from the business of Main House life after she was unceremoniously kicked out when she earned her life dream (and impossible want) of Earning $100,000.

Her friend from college, Fionn Andersen soon joined her after she got engaged to Generation Two Spare, Fred Crane. Once Fred returned from his outer space adventure, he moved in with his fiancée, got married, and had a son, Xavier.

Fern, Fern, Fred and Xavier. Fred, Fionn and Fern all died of old age before Winnipeg, but the deaths were not documented.

Atlanta, his wife, the mailwoman.
Meanwhile, Xavier grew into an adult and married the mailwoman, Atlanta Bell. They had two children:

Shy and nice Dwight, and...

...Outgoing chatterbox Daisy.
Let's jump right in with this update. :)

Xavier, a fortune Sim, wanted to open his own business, and eventually began selling electronics and decorative items on the lawn. He had been doing very well, even getting fellow Fortune Minded Atlanta to help with the business. But is their obsession with money hurting their children?

As the cool winter chill began icing over the fishing rod, Daisy continued to fish. She loved fishing, it calmed her down immensely. Her mom and dad were always dealing with the business, while her older brother Dwight was always studying. She was very rarely quiet, except when she had no one to talk to.

Xavier usually fished with her as well, but he chose to do it afterward. He had more of a hard time. With fishing, you needed to let the fish come to you, being still and patience was very important. Xavier was not a patient man, he was a busy man. Even though he refused to get a normal job, he found that running a successful business could bring you more money than a normal job ever could.

As he pulled out a soggy boot, Xavier sighed. He needed a break from all of this extra stuff going on, he just wanted to make some money and raise his kids, what was the harm in that?

Hint: It’s hard to raise your kids when you never see them.

That night, all three resident ghosts came out to haunt. Fern wasn’t really a member of the infamous Crane family, but she enjoyed watching them. Xavier was a stubborn boy, and he needed to realize what he had in front of him instead of chasing some dream.

Fionn had also seen what her son had become, and she did indeed get sad at it as well. She agreed with Fern, he needed to wake up.

Fred, on the other hand, was more concerned over his recent death than his son’s life.

His grandchildren were unconcerned. They spent almost all of their time studying, since their parents were always working. They hardly even spoke to one another anymore, and this was having a very serious effect on Daisy.

It was true though, Xavier was working extra overtime. He had been building up his skills, and soon learned how to manipulate people into doing his will.
“Katy, you and I both know you want to buy that radio. So just do it.”

His newfound abilities came with a price though: not only did they drain him, he was already extra tired from his working way too hard.

But it didn’t matter. He and Atlanta made an excellent team, he would run the cashier while she dazzled the customers.

The time eventually came when it was time for Dwight to grow up. He pondered his life situation, and made his decision, while Daisy looked on, unusually quiet.

When they sat down to eat cake Daisy continued her silence, and the absence of Atlanta was felt.
“So, what do you aspire to, Dwight?”
“Family. I mean, I see what’s going on with you and mom, and I want to be close to my own family- I want to have a close family. Plus, education is the most important thing in life. I want to become an Education Minister so I can teach children all over Kodak.”
“That’s extremely noble Dwight, I’m proud of you. What about you Daisy? Your birthday is coming soon. Do you know what you’re going to aspire to?”
Daisy just got up and left.

After cleaning his hair up, and getting some new clothes, Dwight cleaned up very well. He got the Custom eyes of Valeria, Winnipeg, Fred, and his father. He also inherited his father’s nose. All in all, he was very good looking.

The next day, Xavier and Atlanta decided to talk about what Dwight had said.
“I just don’t get it. We spend time together, we see the kids…”
“Do we really?”

Atlanta looked at her husband.

“Atlanta, Dwight is right, we need to reconnect. We’ve been working WAY too much. Daisy use to talk all the time, and I haven’t even heard her voice In days. We should…”

“You know what? Just come here.” Xavier wasn't going to get through to her right now, and plus, they both had wants for it.
Atlanta looked shocked as Xavier pulled her close.

“Let’s just figure this out…”

Afterwards, Xavier and Atlanta sat down for a late lunch.

“So, you’ll speak to Daisy and I’ll speak to Dwight?”

“Yes. But… I’m worried that I won’t be able to connect with her. I hardly know her, Xavier. And it scares me. I want to know my little girl. But I want to work. Its hard…”
“I know, Atlanta. But we have to give up some things for what’s really important- my mom didn’t work, and she told me that making work for yourself was more important- and I believed her. Daisy needs us.”

“So, I take her outside and play some catch?”
“Do what she likes- go fishing with her, she loves fishing.”

“And we’ll instantly become best friends?”
“It’ll take time, but I’m sure we’ll figure it out.”

That night, Atlanta and Daisy went fishing.
Even though she was hesitant at first, Atlanta soon learned that she and her daughter had many things in common.

Many things.

Meanwhile, Dwight had begun his quest for a first kiss.
To that end, he called over the matchmaker.

“ I need her to be beautiful, nice, smart… maybe family oriented, but definitely not Romance!”

The gypsy just smiled.
“Why does it seem like all I get are you responsible types? I‘ll do my best.”

“Thank you so much!”

The gypsy began to summon the Sim that would be Dwight’s True Love- he had paid Top Dollar, and he expected to meet the woman of his dreams.

When the papergirl, Kali Peeter, got up, Dwight was stunned.
“Wow, you’re hot.”
“Thanks. So are you.”

After the initial introductions, the two shy Sims got off to a rather awkward start- Dwight would compliment her, she would accept shyly, and so on and so forth. All their interactions were laced with nervousness.

“You are the most beautiful thing I have ever seeen!”
Never mind that she was the only Teen female he had ever met.

But eventually Kali’s playful nature took over her shyness. “Hey Dwight!”
“What?”
“What’s that?”
“Where?”
*splash*

The two ran around the grounds, happily throwing water balloons at one another.
Until, that night, Dwight asked to do something a little more than friendly.

“Do you mind if I give you a backrub? I-- I mean, you must be so uncomfortable after running around with that bag on--It’s okay if you say no--”
“It’s okay Dwight. Go for it.”

“That’s really nice, Dwight. You’re really good at this…”

After the backrub, the two teens turned to look at one another.
“Well…”
“Well…”

They both leaned in for their fist kiss, one that was magical and beautiful. Dwight was ecstatic that it had happened so quickly.

Soon enough it was Daisy’s birthday. While she and her parents had most definitely been getting along much better, it was obvious what the number one priority was in Atlanta’s life.

“Go Daisy! Lets see what you’re gonna be like! WOO!”

Daisy laughed as she transitioned/ “Don’t embarrass me Dad.”

“But I HAVE to get out of these clothes first! I’ll be right back and then we can talk all about what I’m going to get and all that jazz.”

After gussying up, Daisy turned out very well. She took after her mother very much, and scarily, was a visual clone of the Generation Two heiress, her great aunt, Winnipeg. She was very pretty though.

That night, Daisy stood outside and played with the pinball machine her father had gotten her.
“Alright! This is the coolest gift ever! Now here’s hoping they don’t try to make me work at their little business!”

That's it for the first Spare Story. Feedback is very welcome. Did you like it? Should I continue? All suggestions welcome as well. :D
I really enjoy playing rotation style, its fun when you don't feel like playing the main house, and want to catch everyone up.
Watching two shy Sims flirt is absolutely adorable.
Here's a close up of Kali:

She has the face right next to Shelby's in Bodyshop/CAS, so I named it the Kali face. It's weird looking, but I really like it. I can't think of a townie or NPC that has it.
That''s all for now. If I get mildly positive feedback to this, I'll post the next part of Xavier's story. :) Thanks for reading!

I love seeing the spares again! I had forgotten about Fionn and Fred. It's really cool to find out what they've been up to.
Daisy is so cute, what a shame her mother was too obsessed with making money to spend much time with her, but she seems to have aged well. I love her hair.
Daniel got matched up with the paper girl...you end up with the strangest matches lol but it ended up working out soo cute.
I say, keep the Spares coming!! :D
Thanks for your comment, and reading. It means a lot. :)
I know, I love Daisy as well, she's a fresh child, but I love her entirely too much. I haven't decided what to do with her yet though. :P
Her hair is from Recolors by Rissa, I love her recolors. :D
Dwight did, but I love hooking up my Sims with NPC's. Idk why though. ;)
Thanks! :D
