So, for starters I was REALLY looking forward to this pack, and I'm amused as to how what I wanted the pack for ended up disappointing me, whereas the part I didnt care about is SO cool! Yes, I'm talking about the LTA, Lifetime Aspiration Meter thing, and hobbies.
So, I created a whole new family, The Roosevelts. (Sue me, I was in my friends American History class and they were talking about FDR and the new deal...*coughs*) I wanted to know about the new perks and stuff! I read a tutuorial on LJ about upgrading Sims with MATY's Lot Debugger, so I did to all my Sims. *shrugs* Also, I removed my downloads to test it out, as all good boys and girls do. :)

So I'll geit right into it: I HATE THE FAMILY PERKS. I have 1 teen family Sim, and 1 Young Adult Family Sim, IN THE ENTIRE NEIGHBORHOOD OF KODAK. Who are they going to be making Comfort Soup for? And, if I'm such a good Sims player, then WHY ARE THE KIDS BEING TAKEN AWAY?!?!?!##$!
Obviously I feel strongly about them.
The Super Fertility thing is null and void as well, ummm, we've had Cheesecake for two or three years now Maxis. Why do we need this? And what if it doesn't work and I didn't give my Sims some delicious cheesecake? WHO WILL I BLAME?
*coughs*
The need things annoy me as well. I don't need for my needs to go down slower, though it is nice. I hardly noticed a change in some of my Sims. Whatever.

I love all of the Fortune Benefits. The investing thing is hella cool, and the more money is cool as well. I also do like the Secondary Aspirations, that is so cool, I love it. But most of them annoy me, maybe I was expecting more?

This has nothing to do with anything, I was wanted to point out the fact that I made Eleanor as this perfect little housewife type, and then she goes and makes Sports her Predestined hobby. I had the Lulz about it to be quite honest.

Franklin and Jacklyn spent time together.

I also enjoyed the Nursery rhyme thing, I thought it was so adorable. Why did it take so long though? -__-

I never figured out Jacklyn's OTH, I had her dance, tinker, paint, anything, and she would not reveal it. Oh well. I forced her into Music and Dance because I wanted to see someone use the Ballet Bar. :D

Everything that has to do with toddlers absolutely redeems this pack, I love ALL of the table interactions and the new furniture. Enough said.

The new computer is super cool though, hee hee hee.

In closing, I love Natasha Una. She is the COOLEST SIM EVER. I care not what you say, I love her, her house, and she makes the Grilled Cheese Aspiration look FABULOUS.

I love her. The Grilled Cheese benefits are SO cool, why do the family ones have to suck so hard?
The Crane Legacy will be updated tomorrow, hopefully. I'll be visiting my college tomorrow, so when I get home, I probably will. :D

I'm glad Freetime is working for you and that you're enjoying it! :D
As for the perks, you have to remember, not everyone plays with Free Will off. I actually thought they were an excellent addition... but I have never used Snapdragons or anything like that. The Family perks are odd, but I have had the odd occasion where a kid jumped on a bed too long and the social worker pulled up to the curb and I cursed under my breath, lol.
The Fortune ones are my favorite, but then again, Fortune sims are my favorite, lol. So that's not really a surprise. I also really, really love the Knowledge sim ones. For someone who HATES skilling and doesn't make it a point to have every sim max every skill under the sun, it's nice to have an additional boost for careers/etc.
Which college? Sue me, I'm nosy and you don't have to spill if you don't want to.
The Roosevelt's are cute, and since rumor has it Eleanor was gay maybe she did really like sports...not that she had to be gay to like sports...ah, jeez, you get what I'm saying. :)
Ok, who would a teen make comfort soup for? Well, their mom gets pregnant, its a complicated pregnancy where she should be in bed all the time, but she can't be because she has constantly make pottery to have an income since her hubby left her for the pizza delivery girl, so her wonderful child takes great care of mom. Sorry, I got caught up in a story there :)
Investing is pretty sweet, I have yet to loose money though I hear it's possible and the knowledge benefit of acquiring skills faster is nice in GlenRio because they have no skills to start out and no time to build them. It's also hard to keep them gold so that they can wear the helmet.
I do think it's too easy to get all the perks, not much of a challenge and once they're done, they're done. What would have been really nice is another primary aspiration to choose from in addition to grilled cheese.
I agree with both of you, and I get what you're saying. Its WAY to easy to get them, and then its like... Now what? But thanks for the comments and reading! :D
